While I'll agree that chasing down Hod was a bit of a pain in the behind, I can't really get behind you on anything else. The rest of the level was cool, there were a number of cutscenes to keep me engaged, lots of relevant in-game party chatter, and I thought the level layout was great.
Dude, this is the gamer zone. I believe the fanboy man-child zone is over that way --->.
Also, spelling can be your friend, just pay attention in school.
I was excited about Home, but that excitement has waned...
I've done the midnight launch... and man, it's just not worth it. Get some sleep, grab the game in the morning, and actually enjoy playing it instead of feeling so tired all day that you want to puke.
What about those of us who acknowledge that the game isn't perfect, but who enjoy it anyway?
Yes, really. I wouldn't have posted it if I hadn't meant it. I mean, absolutely they play fast and loose with an already hard-to-pin-down storyline, but they nail down certain aspects of it in ways that are just picture perfect.
Case in point?
Loki, tied down to the 3 stones with the viper's dripping poison burning him. The game is missing one of the key components of that story (Sigyn catching the venom in a bowl, but eventually having to empty the bowl, and Lo...
And before I forget, yeah, some of the voice acting is kinda cheesy.
The problem with Too Human is the camera. People will scream and sputter about the controls (which work just fine) and the graphics (which are also fine) and the story (which makes sense if you have an IQ above 75 and any knowledge whatsoever about Norse mythology), but the only real problem with it is the camera.
And yeah, the camera really is a pain in the ass.
It's not a GREAT game by any stretch of the imagination. It's good though.
See, I'm in the apparent minority of people who actually actively enjoys Too Human. Even I just have to shake my head though, Dyack should really just move on and fix the issues in the game in time for the sequel.
So are you suggesting that since I play WoW, I'm useless and fat and live with my parents? I may have a little bit of a belly on me (thanks beer, you delicious jerk), but other than that I'm afraid you've missed the mark.
I think that maybe your problem is that you're friends with a bunch of losers. Seriously, if your friends are grossly obese layabouts who don't have jobs or cars and live with their parents, that probably says something about you too.
Word. Couldn't have said it better.
BUT NOT bigger than my johnson after viewing the aforementioned porn.
Hooray!
*whew, gotta catch my breath, I'm not used to exerting myself like that*
I'm pretty lazy.
Games don't have much of anything to do with it, I'm just pretty lazy by nature, haha.
Nah, it was pretty much all sarcastic. The idea that smaller sites should just bugger off and leave reviewing to the big boys is pretty weak thinking.
I'll agree with you that we really don't need any more Too Human reviews linked on N4G though. It's a divisive game, yeah, but I think that we've all pretty much decided whether we like/want it or not.
Yeah! We don't care what the average blogger thinks of a game! If our reviews aren't corporate, they're of no use to us!
Fewer reviews are better!
Huzzah!
*sigh*
The closest I've found is Jedi Academy on the PC. You can dl mods that allow full dismemberment.
You know, if you're into that kind of thing...
...which I am.
If this game is near as enjoyable as Return to Castle Wolfenstein, I'll gladly give id Software my money.
God, why? I bought it on DS a few months back, and I don't think I've ever felt like more of a chump. Just not a good game no matter how you look at it :/
Europe, friends, you don't know how good you've had it.
Not after this one, you don't. Looks like someones bubbles are all used up ;)
Oh, and reported again. C'mon man, let's keep the Gamer Zone at least somewhat relevant.
